Camara is a West African word that means, "one who teaches from experience." 

Through the experience of dance, Camara Dance Unlimited (CDU) seeks to illuminate cultural awareness and history, foster intergenerational communication and be of service to those communities who grant us the privilege of serving.

Camara Dance Unlimited is an organization of dancers and educators committed to expressing, engaging, and transforming the human spirit through the experience of dance and movement.

Camara Dance Unlimited comprises nine dancers/performers with dance backgrounds of modern, ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, African and Latin dance from the west coast to the east coast. CDU is not only limited to dance. Through the genre of song and spoken word, CDU also shares its collective experience.
