Under the Artistic Direction of Traci Hinton Peterson, Camara Dance Unlimited will present "Journey of a Woman's Spirit" on Thursday, November 3, 2005, Friday, November 4, 2005 and and Saturday, November 5, 2005, 8:00 PM, at Poet's Den.

This concert fuses dance forms with the social, philosophical and emotional viewpoints of the CDU choreographers in a marriage of history, passion and technique. Featured works will include “Many Phases,” choreographed by Peterson. This piece examines the myriad issues faced by women as they move through their lives, experiencing birth, death, love, loss and more - culminating in the emergence of a self-actualized woman celebrating life. “We All Dream Beneath the Same Sky,” choreographed by Annie Mayer, is a physical, tangible exploration of an individual's personal history – a story translated into our collective memories each time it is retold. Each recollection of the journey moves us further away from the actual events and toward a new perspective of ourselves and our community.

This concert will also include works from Shanella Ashley, Krystal Breakley, Emily Regas, Hollis Kam, Jessica Pantaliano and Taryna Thorne.
